Modelling of optimum cleaning of oil spill applying the genetics algorithm

Author
Abstract
Limited resources and necessity of keeping this heritage for the future is being as an important point of view to minimize the environmental contaminants. In some regions, desalination plants are installed and fast cleaning procedures are of interest. One of the new optimization methods is Genetics Algorithm which is used to prepare pollution contingency maps. The optimization problem is related to minimum arrival time of vessels leading to minimum cleaning costs based on oil slick volume. By using the optimization model based on oil spill spreading and decay, optimization of the oil contaminant on the Persian Gulf and the characteristics of the vessels such as speed and cleaning capacity are being possible to present the qualitative results.
